$122 worth of Groceries for $10 at Kroger: See How I Did It

This is a break down of what I bought this week at Kroger. I did 2 transactions.
Lots of these involve printed coupons, so even if you dont get the Sunday newspaper you can get some nice deals
SS = SmartSource coupon insert in Sundays newspaper
RP = RedPlum coupon insert in Sundays newspaper
P&G = Proctor and Gamble coupon insert in Sundays newspaper

To see a full list of the best deals around town this week see my post HERE

Paid $10.07 for all this worth $122.43

Transaction #1

2- boxes of Playtex Sport tampons 18 count $1.99 each
- two copies of the $2 off 1 coupon from SS Oct 6th
= 2 boxes for FREE

10- cans of Campbell's mushroom soup that are part of the buy 10 save $5 sale, at 50¢ each
-2 coupons for $1 off 5 found HERE
= $3 you pay out of pocket, but your supposed to get a $2.50 catalina for buying 10 which will print out with the receipt after you pay. That makes it 10 cans for 50¢ if that darn catalina would have printed! Could have just been my register.

8- Gillette Satin Care 7oz shave gels part of the Buy 10 Save $5, at $1.49 each
= $11.92
-4 copies of the $3 off your purchase of 2 Gillette shave products from P&G Oct 27th
= FREE plus 8¢ overage

Total # of items = 20 because I need sets of 10 for the Buy 10 Save $5 promotion

Total value without coupons: $40.90
Total I paid after coupons: $2.92
You might score an even better deal on the Campbell's Condensed soups. If any of the Mushroom or Chicken condensed soups DONT have "Great for Cooking" or "Healthy Request" then you will get a catalina for $2.50 off your next grocery purchase.
I'm pretty sure all of the ones in my store had "Great for Cooking" on them, but I didn't check thoroughly either. Some stores may be different. Its worth a look.

If you do get the catalina, then use it in transaction #2

Great prices on Kroger's Private Selection Items Sale

This week Kroger is having a huge sale on its Private Selection Brand. There are no coupons but the prices are awesome without coupons. Just remember, you get the sale priced advertised in the blue part of the price tag when you buy in sets of 4!

Here are some of the things I thought were at a great price:

Selection of pastas at 69¢ each. These were some fun shaped pasta so I stocked up especially since we eat a lot of Italian food.

Regular panko bread crumbs were 69¢ per box. This is something that doesn't go on sale often.

Private Selection bread loaves, $1.49 each. Great price especially since I was out of bread!
Private Selection center cut bacon 12oz $2.49 each. Anything below $3 for 12oz or more of bacon is great deal.
Blue cheese 4oz tub $1.49 each. Great price on blue cheese!
FREE eCOUPON FRIDAY: Every Friday Kroger has an eCoupon for a free item. While your there, load the coupon for this FREE 8oz tub of Hillshire Farms lunch meats coupon found on www.kroger.com in the eCoupon section of the site. You must send the eCoupon to your shoppers card. This coupon is only available today, FRIDAY September 27th to load on your shoppers card.

And you might want to browse around the store and see what other Private Selection brand items are on sale. I saw pure maple syrup, chocolate chips, spices, and more at decent prices.
